Help the Hospices
Help the Hospices is the hospice movement’s national charity in the UK. Help the Hospices believes everyone should have access to the best possible care at the end of their life. Hospices give unparalleled care to people who are facing the end of life – and to those who love them.
Help the Hospices’ role is two-fold. Firstly, supporting hospices in their vital work on the frontline of caring for people who are facing the end of life and caring for those who love them. The support given takes many forms; training, education, information, grant-aid, advice and national fundraising events and activities.
Secondly, voicing the interests, views and concerns of over 200 local charities who provide the majority of hospice care across the UK. Help the Hospices investigates issues, publishes reports and briefings and advocates the cause of independent voluntary hospice care in Westminster, Whitehall and in the media.
Help the Hospices became a membership organisation in 2007 and the structure is aimed at giving local hospices more ownership and engagement with the body that represents them nationally.
