The Company was established in 2007 under an exclusive Agreement as a co-operative venture with the national charity Help the Hospices. Help the Hospices is the hospice movement's national charity. The sole commercial objective of H-Med is the development of NHS Primary Care Premises, ie the provision of GP facilities and in addition, suitable accommodation to integrate ancillary or complementary services including accommodation for Practice Based Commissioning initiatives as a tailored local solution.

The Company’s Agreement with Help the Hospices provides that it will share equally with Help the Hospices any development gain arising from development projects. Help the Hospices will retain 10% of the share of the development gain it receives and pass 90% directly on to hospice or hospices in the locality of the project.

Personal experience on the part of the Directors inspired the formation of this Company with a view to supporting the hospice movement and the Board and the Company’s regional professional teams around the UK bring together 20 years experience in the development of Primary Care premises. Our commercial policy is not to ask for preferential terms but simply to be preferred as a developer and to work in partnership with GPs and Health Professionals across the UK.
